Vanadinite

Vanadinite is a brittle, dense, semi-precious mineral that is a primary source of vanadium and a minor source of lead.

Colors It Comes In - bright-red or orange-red, although sometimes brown, red-brown, grey, yellow, or colourless

Fracture Pattern - conchoidal

Shape - hexagonal

Luster - greasy to resinous to adamantine

Texture - brittle, sugary texture

Where It Can Be Found - Many of the world's most famous vanadinites are found in Mibladen, Morocco and exhibit thick, red, tabular crystals. However, vanadinites have also been found in Mexico, Arizona, and other localities.
